Cusco II, released in 1981, is the second release of the brilliant new age band Cusco. Chock full of stunning synth soundscapes, flute-like leads, and overarching South American thematics, Cusco II transports listeners to the most fascinating natural landscapes on the planet. This album has been a consistent favorite of mine since my introduction to new age just a few years ago - I am more than thankful to be able to release it right here on Kyvon Tape Co.

The build up on The Final Spell is so hopeful and regal sounding to me and then the vocals come in chilling you to the bone. When it speeds up you're off to battle. The swells in this song damn near bring a tear to my eye. Tears of the Spirits is an appropriately wistful and sorrowful track the melody here sending an ache through my heart An emotional album and one I will be returning to often. Bryan Mobley
